Beach Forest

In a rush, a small white animal rushed through twisted trees. It opened its wings and took flight with surprising speed. It dashed up to the top of a tree and clung on to the top branch. Breathing heavily, it looked around, marveling at the forest and the sea in sight. Red eyes darting left and right, she smiled. This gorgeous land, the air, the trees, the sea; it was all hers. She let out a loud whistle, a tweet if you must. She listened closely. She then heard a reply of a similar whistle. She grinned and leaped off of the branch, back into the forest.

A somewhat large, black-and-silver animal thumped over the heavy growth near the connecting point of beach and forested area. The animal seemed to be tired, and it's pace was very slow. It's home seemed to be close by, as it continued to walk along the border.

Our little white Hyffon, as rushed as ever, darts through the forest to the returning whistle she heard. Also oblivious as ever, she doesn't notice the large black Hyffon right in front of her right beforesheramsin- "Ouch!" She squeaks as she smashes into a much larger Hyffon.

"...!"
The larger Hyffon took the blow like a wall, barely moving, mostly to avoid damage to whatever hit him. He looked down towards the smaller Hyffon with as caring a look as he could give with his size.

She looked up at the Hyffon, her eyes a bright crimson. "Who are you?" She asked, ears folded back.

"..."
The Hyffon suddenly started looking around himself, as if looking for something. He walked over and leaned against a tree to keep his balance, as he made an 'X' at his throat by crossing his forelegs over it.

She tilted her head, confused. "Can you not talk?" She muttered sympathetically. She hopped over to him and looked up at him with a bright smile. "That's okay! I'm a misfit too, people run away from me." She peeped obliviously. She looked down sadly, her ears tilted back. "I think it's because I'm different than them..." She murmured, shuffling her feet nervously.

Cynderius looked down on her sympathetically. Perhaps he had finally met someone he could relate to...
He chiseled phrasings into a leaf and put it in front of her.
There's nothing wrong with being different. As long as you at least love yourself, nothing is wrong with you.

She looked down at the leaf. She read it in her mind. Looking back up at him, she grinned. "You're right! I do love myself!" She gasped suddenly, looking at the silent stranger. "We could be best friends! We could explore and go on adventures!" She jumped around and hopped onto his back, sitting between his wings. Pointing her talon in front of her, she cheered. "Onward, friend!"

Cynderius stood for a second, shocked at how quickly that happened. He shook his head and walked in that direction, kind of wondering if that was the best choice.

She lightly patted his head. "Come on friend, lets go!" She grinned. "Hey friend, what's your name anyway?"

Cynderius indented his name onto a leaf and passed it up to her.

"Cy...Cynderius? That's a bit of a mouthful, friend." She read his name out loud from the leaf. "I'll just call you Cynder!" She concluded proudly. She crawled up to the top of his head and looked at him upside-down. "Where we going, Cynder?"

Cynderius shrugged. He then had an idea, and indented it onto a leaf, handing it to her.
We could go to my home.
Oh, also, what is your name?

She read the leaf quickly. "Sure, let's go~!" She agreed and sat back on his shoulders. "Oh, and my name's Navy." She answered the question written on the leaf.

Cynderius nodded, and turned around, walking towards his home.

She hopped up and put her talons on Cynder's head. She looked out at the area around them, red eyes glowing with wonder. "Are we there yet?"

Cynderius nodded, and turned towards a pile of rocks the formed a circle on the inside. He walked towards the entrance.

Navy smiled and hopped off of Cynderius. She skipped into the ring of stones and looked around. "This is your home?" She asked Cynder.

Cynderius nodded. There was a large pile of leaves in the corner.

Navy sat down in the soft sand of Cynder's home. "This is cool, I like it!" She smiled and drew patterns in the dirt. She drew a childish scribble of Cynder in the sand and wrote next to it "CINDUR". "This is you, friend!" She jumped up to show Cynder.

Cynderius almost chuckled, but nothing came out. He drew out how his name was actually spelled - 'CYNDERIUS' - in the sand.
